Ishmael Nehemiah
Ishmael Nehemiah is an artist that is extremely talented when it comes to his artistry, the Tennessee native has caught my ears with the record “The Ride” which is by “3 Sunz” a small collective consisting of Ishmeal Nehemiah and Solomon, both amazing in their respected lanes when it comes to their artistry. Together they have released a handful of records that show where the musical influence and style comes from. Being such a dynamic duo working together it’s easy to see why the record “The Ride” stood out for me.
Recently in 2025 Ismael Nehemiah has dropped an EP titled “Freakquencies” that starts off with a futuristic vibe with “Skip2MyLou” if you are familiar with street ball and And1 than you will get the reference. The EP ends with a creative record called “Dang” which in my opinion is the best record from the EP. Ishmael hasn’t stopped there; in March he released a single called “Follow Me Not”. the consistency is there, the work ethic is there, I feel he just needs the right person to get ahold of his movement and the rest will be history.
The Hip-hop, R&B, and Soul vibe that Ishmael Nehemiah brings into his music stands out amongst many in this day and age, we talk about everybody sounding the same and there isn’t anything different in music, I for one can agree and disagree. mostly because I know where the dope talent resides and artist like Ishmael continue to prove that there is still talent and creative individuals who have their own sound, style, and are making strides to change the game in their own way.
Taking a deeper look into his catalog, you can see that Ishmael Nehemiah is one that continues to push himself with his artistry and doesn’t settle for anything. always pushing boundaries when it comes to the sound and style of different records and artistic expression when it comes to visuals. In 2023 November 7th Ishmael Nehemiah released “IAMWHOIAM (Side A). this album shows exactly what I mean when it comes to pushing boundaries musically. What’s next for Ishmael Nehemiah? where’s that “The Ride” Visual?
