13 Months Of Sunshine

If you havent heard by now the artist well known as Aminé just dropped a new full length project titled “13 Months Of Sunshine”. Aminé is well known for his break out record “Caroline” which was released in 2017 on the album “Good For You” and debuted at 11 on the Billboards.

Gaining major success in the music industry Aminé later went on to release multiple full length projects that make up what we know as his catalog today. With roots deeply embedded in Ethiopia Aminé proudly showcases the love he has for where he is from, whether that being through his music or artwork and merchandise.

In a recent interview with ABC news Aminé does just that, explaining the history and meaning behind the title of his new project “13 Months Of Sunshine” during the interview he says that the history of the name is the nickname of Ethiopia and has been around sense the 70's.

The album is filled with good vibes, the 16 track LP is accompanied by a handful of well thought out visuals that bring the entire project to life. Filled with upbeat tempos and catchy hooks 13 Months Of Sunshine is sure to make you dance to the music just as God For You did in 2017.

I completely enjoyed this one, bringing something new and fresh to music that in my opinion we need more of in this day and age. A couple of tracks from the album that stand out to me are. “New Flower” ft. Leon Thomas, “Arc De Triomphe”, “Vacay”, “I Think it’s You”, and “ Familiar”. All worth shining some light on them, from production to the booth you can tell alot of blood, sweat, and tears was put into the making of this album.

In a interview with well known platform “Pigeons & Planes” Aminé speaks about how he used his Dad for multiple skits throughout the album, and that his father didn’t even know he would be featured on the project. Thus showing how special this body of work is to him, letting the fans in on special private moments like that opens up different perspectives from the listeners that they might not have has about the artist before hand.

In conclusion I think Aminé did his big one with this album, i’m adding songs to the playlist. Be sure to stream the album below.
