Heat Of The Moment: Dre Costa

Dre Costa is a artist from New Jersey who incorporates Hiphop & R&B into his music giving and chill vibe along with some upbeat tempos. In 2023 he released a album titled “Heat Of The Moment” a 12 track project that speaks about life, struggles, and Triumph.

When you listen to Dre Costa you can hear the Influences of J Cole, Mac Miller, & others. With his Hispanic roots Dre Costa is putting on for the tanboys on the east coast, making a name for himself from New Jersey, New York, Boston and surrounding areas. The first record I heard off of the album is “Smoke on the beach” a very chill vibe that you can sit back and smoke to, with a catchy hook and cadences.

Heat Of The Moment Moment starts off strong with the record “Changes” where Dre Costa speaks about his roots, the changes he has went through along his journey, and and reaching his goals. Dre Costa says he promises you will remember his name when it’s all said and done.

A couple notables from the album for me would have to be “Family Feud” “On & On” , and “Same Ol’ Story”. The album had a good response from his core fans, that Dre Costa decided to re-release the album a year later as a chopped and screwed version, i’ve always loved music chopped and screwed although in my opinion it has to be the right flow and production to pull this off successfully which I think he most certainly did.
